About

Laurie Gorelick is a nationally-recognized, award-winning Boston-based interior designer providing residential and commercial design services to a discerning clientele. Her intellectual yet practical approach focuses on the synergy between a space and its users. Assessing needs, respecting architectural integrity, Laurie listens to the narrative of what the client and the space want. Whether designing an urban loft, suburban homestead or seaside vacation home, Laurie seeks to translate clients’ desires into a fresh, visual aesthetic that reflects their tastes and unique personalities.

A four-time Best of Houzz winner for design and service, Laurie did not follow the traditional career path of most designers. Instead, she spent 10 years as a practicing attorney in New York City after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and New York University School of Law. Laurie’s deep-rooted passion for art and design drove her to trade her briefcase for a portfolio. She earned a degree in interior design from the New England School of Art & Design at Boston's Suffolk University, winning many design competitions along the way. In 2000, she established Laurie Gorelick Interiors after honing her skills as a design assistant at a Newbury Street design firm.

Laurie’s keen senses of color, pattern and texture infuse her designs and bring life to stagnant interiors. With 20 years of experience, Laurie has cultivated a fine-tuned network of tradespeople and vendors upon whom she relies for kid-glove service and bespoke pieces. Her collaborative approach has brought her clients from New England to Florida to California, and has earned her a Design Excellence and Achievement Award for her commitment to providing the highest level of quality and client service.  Additionally, Laurie is an accredited professional in Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design (LEED AP), distinguishing her in the area of eco-friendly design and knowledge of sustainable materials and finishes.
